Richard Louis “Ricky” Powers, Jr., 30, of Greensburg, passed away at 12:40 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021 at the Heritage House Nursing in Greensburg. He was born on January 3, 1991 in Batesville, the son of Richard Louis & Jennifer Lynne (Land) Powers. He has lived in Decatur County for the majority of his life and graduated from Greensburg Community High School in 2009. He was a veteran having served with the US Army and was a member of the Army National Guard. He enjoyed cars and trucks, playing video games and the Dallas Cowboys. He is survived by his father, Richard Louis Powers, Sr. of Greensburg; his son; his sisters, Candace Lynn Hammond and Krystal Leah Timmerman and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jennifer Lynn Powers and his sister, Melissa Louise Hawkins. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Greensburg with Pastor Ray Sweet officiating.
