Robert Duerstock, 84

Robert E. Duerstock, 84, passed away on October 14, 2021. Robert was born on August 9, 1937 in Millhousen, Indiana as the son of Alvin and Hilda Duerstock.

After high school Robert joined The United States Army National Guard and severed our country for 6 years. Robert then went on to work at Cummins until his retirement in 1994. In Robert’s spare time he enjoyed watching the Reds, Bengals, and University of Kentucky. Robert also enjoyed going to the casino. Robert will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

Robert is survived by his wife of 24 years, Sharanne Duerstock; step children: Irvin (Shawna) Vanderpohl, Anne (Mike) Robbins; Tony Vanderpohl, Carl Vanderpohl; numerous grandchildren; one great grandchild; sister-in-law, Paulette Duerstock; nieces: Julie (Steve) Nobbe, Cindy (Matt) Slaven, Jennifer (Wes) Hersley; nephew: Tim (Amber) Duerstock; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Arthur Duerstock, Gerald Duerstock; infant sister, Joan Duerstock; and great niece, Isabelle Nobbe.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A rosary will be held beforehand at 3:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 10 am with Father John Meyer officiating. Burial will take place at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Cemetery in Millhousen, Indiana.
