Roberta Sue Mock of Greensburg, died peacefully on the morning of April 25, 2024. Known by family, friends, and colleagues as “Bobbie” and by students as “Miss Mock”, she was the daughter of Robert W. Mock and Reestina R. (Sidell) Mock. An educator and administrator in the Greensburg Community Schools system for nearly fifty years, Roberta was the first member of her family to graduate from college. She held bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Ball State Teachers College and a master’s degree in education administration from Indiana University. She was a lifelong member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church and taught Sunday school.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents and by her only sibling, Judith Kay Sageser. She is survived by niece Mellissa Waller of Lima, Ohio, and by nephews David E. Sageser of Havre, Montana, Paul E. Sageser of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Michael A. Sageser of Greensburg.
A memorial service honoring her life will be held at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 10:00 am. Gifts in memory of Roberta may be made to the Greensburg Community Schools Education Foundation. Online condolences can be made to the family at www.gilliland-howe.com
