Rylie Anne Bennett, 5 1/2

Rylie Anne Bennett, our sweet and sassy cowgirl,(forever 5 ½), gained her angel
wings February 27th, 2023 in the arms of her family, after battling 2 years and
2 months with DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma). Rylie was born July 19th,
2017 in Columbus. Rylie had the most contagious smile. She could walk into any
room and would light it up with her personality and smile. Rylie loved to ride
her stick horse all around the house. If anyone was visiting the house, she
would con them into racing with her. Riding on her daddy’s shoulders chasing her
siblings around the house was done as often as she wanted. She also enjoyed
going to the farm and riding horses with her cousins. Her siblings and family
meant the world to her. She stayed on earth just long enough to welcome her
newest baby brother and got to give him some snuggles as well. Rylie was a
kindergartner in Mrs. Beagle’s class. She loved to learn and enjoyed going to
school every day. When Rylie grew up she was going to become a doctor and work
at Farm Credit. She had plans of having lots of kids and having her grandmas
watch them. Cancer did not define Rylie. She endured a lot of trials over the
last 2 years, but that never stopped her. Never once did Rylie complain or say
why me. She made the best of everyday and touched a lot of hearts along the way.
Rylie is survived by her parents, John and Elizabeth; siblings Justin, Mallory
and Jason; grandparents, Mary Bennett, Carol Mauer and Tim Mauer; aunt and
uncle, Dale and Susan Hamilton; aunt, Christy Mauer; uncle, Marvin Mauer; aunt
