Shirley A. Miller, 88, of Greensburg, passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2026,
at Aspen Place of Greensburg. She was born April 9, 1938 in Seymour, Indiana to
Arthur & Lela (Toppe) Hoevener. She graduated from Seymour High School in 1956.
She had been a resident of Greensburg since 2017. She retired from her career as
a Data Processor for the Indiana National Guard. Shirley was a member of St.
Peter’s Lutheran Church in Columbus. She loved to decorate, collect cook books,
and spending time in the kitchen baking. She absolutely loved playing cards; her
favorite card game was Euchre. She enjoyed family get-togethers and playing
cards with the family. She carried a deck in her purse everywhere she went; so
there really was no excuse to not be playing cards. She is survived by her two
daughters; Sheri (Ed) Brewer of Greensburg, IN, Robin (Mike) Wells of
Greensburg, IN,; two step daughters, Julie Trotter of Avon, IN, Joie (Dan)
Keller of Plainfield, IN; one step son, Todd Miller of Danville, IN, and one
sister; Marilyn (Jerry) Christopher of Seymour, IN, five grandchildren, eight
step grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren and
one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her
brother, Leon Hoevener, sister, Carol Webb, brother-in-law, Carl Webb, and
sister-in-law, Loretta Hoevener. Following Shirleys wishes there will be no
services. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital
through the funeral home. Online condolences can be made to the family at
