Teresa Ann Collins (Caudill), 66, of Indianapolis, IN, formerly of Batesville, passed away on September 11, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on July 22, 1957, in Batesville, IN. Teresa was a beloved wife of 50+ years, a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Teresa had a vibrant personality and a zest for life. She had a strong work ethic and was dedicated to her family and her career as a Registered Nurse. After raising her children, Teresa pursued her dream of becoming a nurse and graduated from Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in 1990. She worked diligently in the nursing field for over 30 years, holding various management positions in Long-Term care and was well-known for her leadership abilities in her industry. She inspired and mentored countless other caregivers in her field leading by example, always caring for her patients and colleagues with compassion and respect. In her free time, Teresa enjoyed singing with her family and friends. She was also an active member of the Kiwanis Club for several years. Teresa cherished the moments spent with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored and cared for deeply.
Teresa is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Collins of Batesville, IN; her children, Andrea Collins (Ray Hutcheson) of Indianapolis, IN, Bryan Collins of Greensburg, IN, and Denise Kessens (Nathaniel) of Batesville, IN; Honorary daughter, Natasha Dietrich (Rob) of Batesville, IN and her grandchildren, Nicolas Parrott of Trenton, OH, Trinity Collins-Harmon of Indianapolis, IN, Dahlia, Korvin, and Lukas Kessens of Batesville, IN, and Shaian Hutcheson of Indianapolis, IN. She is also survived by her brother Jerry Caudill and sister Trina Caudill (William Liquori) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Marie Caudill.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, Indiana. The immediate family will gather from 9-10am, followed by a public visitation from 10am-12pm. The service will begin at 12pm noon at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Rossburg Cemetery, followed by a Celebration of Life at the New Point Community Building.
