Thomas Edmon Mahoney, 70, of North Vernon, passed away at 5:00 a.m. on Friday,
December 29, 2023 at Arbor Grove Village in Greensburg. He was born on February
28, 1953 in Madison, the son of Harold “Curly” and Lola (McDole) Mahoney. He was
a former resident of Madison and a graduate of Madison High School. He had been
employed at Interstate Block & Supply and Rhoades Lumber Company. He retired
from Goecker Building Supply in North Vernon after 20 years of service. He
enjoyed racing and hunting, especially hunting with his boys. He married Tammy
Jo McRoberts on December 6, 1975 in Milton, Kentucky and she survives. Other
survivors include his sons, Thomas (Shauna) Mahoney of North Vernon, Tony (Dana)
Mahoney, of Commisky and Terry (Heather) Mahoney of North Vernon; his brother,
Carrol (Myrtle) Hawkins of North Vernon; 6 grandchildren and 3 great
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be
held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in
Westport with Pastor Donnie Yates officiating. Burial will follow at Zenas
Cemetery. A time of visitation will be on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 11:00
a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences
