Winnifred “Winnie” Jane Davis, 84, of Greensburg, passed away at 1:55 p.m. on
Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Morning Breeze Health Campus. She was born on
August 5, 1939, in Beattyville, Kentucky, the daughter of John D. & Janie
(Barrett) Riley. She was raised in Beattyville, graduated from Lee County High
School, and moved to Westport in 1997 after living in Austin, Indiana for 2
years. She retired from Randall after 32 years of service. She enjoyed playing
BINGO, and attended the Westport Christian Church and was a member the Lifeline
Wesleyan Church. She married Harold Thomas Davis on November 28, 1987, in
Williamsburg, Kentucky and he survives. Also surviving is her daughter, Becky
Stuart of Greensburg; her adopted daughter, Marie Ball of Westport; her sons,
Omer Ball, Eddie Ball and Jimmy Ball all of Greensburg; her nine grandchildren,
eleven great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. She was preceded
in death by her parents, her sisters, Ann Peers, Bessie Mae Combs McQuire, Margie
Campbell and Ruby Riley; her brothers, Albert Riley, Milton Riley, Elbert Riley;
her stepbrothers, Joe Conley and Clyde Conley and great grandson, Michael
Jordan. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 22, 2024,
at the Lifeline Wesleyan Church with Pastor Nathan Muncie and Pastor Mike
Bartlett officiating. The burial will follow at the Westport Cemetery. A time of
visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to St.
Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Riley Children’s Hospital through the funeral
