From the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department
On 03/04/2025 the Sheriff’s Office was made aware of an alleged threat involving a school. During the
ensuing investigation a juvenile was taken into custody and transported to the Bartholomew County
Youth Services Center. There are no outstanding threats to the community at this time pertaining to
this investigation.
The Sheriff’s Office has been working closely with Bartholomew County School Corporation
administration throughout the incident.
Sheriff Chris Lane said, “The safety of our youth and schools are taken very seriously. Cases like this will
be thoroughly investigated to ensure the safety of our schools.”
This is a preliminary investigation. All persons are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
