Bartholomew County man faces multiple charges

On August 6, 2022, approximately 10:13 p.m., Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputies arrested
a Bartholomew County man on several charges after responding to a reported vehicle crash at Sprague Road/W 525.
The driver, identified as Nicholas Bokich, 35, Columbus, and a juvenile received minor injuries.
The juvenile was transported to Columbus Regional Hospital for treatment. Bokich was taken to
the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges involving allegations of:
Operating a vehicle while intoxicated
Operating a vehicle while intoxicated – endangerment
Operating a vehicle while intoxicated – prior conviction
Reckless driving
Leaving the scene of a crash
Resisting law enforcement
Neglect of a dependent resulting in bodily injury
Bokich remains in BCJ in lieu of $47,500 bond.
All persons are considered innocent unless/until proven guilty in a court of law.
