COVID Booster Clinic set for Oct 7

On Thursday, Oct. 7, Margaret Mary Health is offering a COVID-19 Booster Clinic from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Batesville City Street Department located at 514 John Street. This clinic is for existing patients of MMH.

According to the CDC, the Pfizer booster shot is currently available to the following:

  • Anyone 65 and older
  • Anyone over the age of 18 with an underlying medical condition
  • Anyone over the age of 18 who is at high risk of COVID-19 exposure through their job

Please note, the single booster dose can only be administered at least six months after completion of the second dose and applies only to those who previously received the Pfizer vaccine. Those who received the Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccines are not eligible at this time. Please bring your COVID-19 vaccination card with you.

No appointment is necessary, however, we suggest you be prepared for longer wait times as we will be registering patients when they arrive. Also, be aware you will be required to wait on site for 15 minutes following vaccination to monitor for adverse reactions. The COVID-19 booster vaccine is free to patients but will be billed to insurance so bring your insurance card with you to the clinic.

If you prefer to schedule an appointment, the booster shot is also being offered at Margaret Mary’s Occupational Health and Wellness Center located at 1051 State Road 229 in Batesville. Please call 812.932.5105 to schedule a time that works best for you. The COVID-19 booster is also available at CVS and Kroger.
