Elizabethtown man arrested on multiple charges

On October 2, 2021, approximately 7:36 p.m., Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Deputy Brandon Sellers was patrolling near N US31/W Shady Lane. As he prepared to initiate a traffic stop, the suspect vehicle turned onto W South Line Drive. Deputy Sellers located the vehicle parked in front of a residence in the 1400 block of W Shady Lane.

As Deputy Sellers initiated his emergency lights, a passenger in the vehicle attempted to walk away. After being stopped, the passenger was identified as Triston Barlow, 25, Elizabethtown, who has multiple outstanding Bartholomew County warrants.

Multiple drug-related items were located on Barlow’s person including 12.4 grams of Fentanyl, approximately 2 grams of methamphetamine and drug-related paraphernalia.

BCSO K9 Jari was deployed and alerted to narcotics inside the vehicle. After obtaining a search warrant, multiple drug related paraphernalia items, white powder, narcotics packaging material and a narcotics sale ledger were located inside the vehicle.

Barlow was remanded to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges involving allegations of:

Dealing in a narcotic drug

Possession of a narcotic drug

Possession of methamphetamine

Possession of paraphernalia

Multiple outstanding Bartholomew County arrest warrants

All persons are considered innocent unless/until proven guilty in a court of law.
