Four Juveniles arrested in connection with armed robbery in Columbus

Columbus police officers arrested four juveniles in connection with the armed robbery of a Columbus gas station early Friday morning. At approximately 12:07 a.m., CPD officers responded to the Marathon Gas Station, located at 2190 N. National Road, in regards to a robbery which had just occurred.
It was reported that two suspects entered the store with their faces covered and one of the suspects held the clerk at knife point behind the counter while the other suspect took tobacco and vape products from the store.
A short time later CPD patrol officers were alerted to persons in the backyard of a residence in the 3000 block of 16th Street. One suspect fled on foot but was captured a short time later. Two additional suspects were located hiding in a shed in the backyard of the residence. Officers reportedly recovered evidence from the robbery in the shed. A fourth suspect was arrested later on Friday.
All four suspects were taken to the Bartholomew County Youth Detention Center where they were remanded for the following preliminary offenses:
15 year old juvenile: Armed Robbery, Resisting Law Enforcement, False Informing
17 year old juvenile: Armed Robbery
15 year old juvenile: Armed Robbery
15 year old juvenile: Armed Robbery
The incident remains under investigation by the Columbus Police Department Criminal Investigations Divison.
