Columbus, IN— October 2, 2023 — Bartholomew County Sheriff, Chris Lane, has been
selected by Indiana Governor, Eric Holcomb, to serve on the Board of Directors of the Statewide
911 Board.
The Statewide 911 Board was established in 2012, and is responsible for Indiana’s
wireless emergency telephone communications. Sheriff Lane states, “I am honored to have been
chosen by Governor Holcomb to serve as a member of the Statewide 911 Board, and look
forward to the opportunity to work with fellow board members toward continuous improvements
to the current 911 system”. Sheriff Lane will serve on the Statewide 911 Board through
September 30, 2025.
