In May 2025 detectives with the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office began a lengthy investigation into
a reported sex offense. The victim, a 17-year-old female, identified the suspect as 18-year-old Nolan
Riley of Columbus.
At the conclusion of the investigation Riley was taken into custody on the charges of: Rape, Child
Exploitation and Criminal Confinement. Riley remains in custody on a $1,000,000.00 bond.
This is a preliminary investigation. All persons are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
