MMH COVID update

Margaret Mary Health COVID-19 Update: 10.20.21

The Ripley Co. and Franklin Co. statuses remain unchanged this week, although we did see a decrease in the Covid 7-day positivity rates from the previous week for both counties.  Ripley Co. is now at a 10.93% 7-day positivity rate (“orange” status) and Franklin Co. is at 16.63% (“red” status).   Franklin county is currently 1 of only 4 counties in Indiana at an advisory level red.

Inpatient Care:  This week we have seen a decline in overall patient volumes, including COVID+ patients.  We currently have 18 patients on our Med Surg floor, with 2 of those patients in our Special Care Unit.  9 of our patients are Covid+ (positive), with 7 of those unvaccinated and 2 vaccinated.

Testing: Testing for COVID-19 increased slightly from the previous week, but our positivity rate has decreased, with 42 patients testing positive and a current positivity rate of 22.8%.  See chart for more details on testing results.

Vaccination: Reminder that tomorrow, Thursday October 20, MMH is offering a COVID-19 Booster Clinic from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Batesville Street Department located at 514 John Street.  This clinic is for existing patients of Margaret Mary Health.  The single booster dose can only be administered at least six months after completion of the second dose and applies only to those who previously received the Pfizer vaccine.  Please bring your COVID-19 vaccination card with you.  No appointment is necessary at the clinic; however, we suggest you be prepared for longer wait times as we will be registering patients when they arrive.  If you prefer an appointment, please contact the MMH Occupational Health and Wellness Center at 812.932.5105 to schedule your vaccine Monday – Friday.
