From the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department
Thursday at approximately 5:30 a.m., Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies along with the German Township Fire Department were dispatched to a report of a vehicle fire at the north bound rest park on I-65.
Upon arrival, responders located a single tracker trailer on fire. Deputies cleared the parking area where others were sleeping in their vehicles.
Columbus Township Fire arrived and assisted with putting the fire out.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains unknown. CPD assisted at the scene as well.
