Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Paul H. Rohe Company plans to close S.R. 229 between Boehringer Street and Shrader Street in downtown Batesville on or after Monday, June 27, to complete a sewer pipe replacement project.The road is expected to remain closed through Friday, July 1. The official detour will follow West Pearl Street, Mulberry Street, and Mitchell Avenue to S.R. 46. Semi traffic should avoid this detour and use an alternate route.This work is part of a $1.5 million contract that includes patching, milling and paving S.R. 229, south of S.R. 46 in Batesville.
