Saturday Covid-19 update

 HEALTH DEPARTMENT UPDATES STATEWIDE COVID-19 CASE COUNTS
INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Health today announced that 6,045 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories. That brings to 558,560 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.

A total of 8,595 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 75 from the previous day. Another 371 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by the state and occurred over multiple days.           

Decatur County has 1 new death bringing the number to 80. 2302 positives (24 new) and 10,052 tested (74 new)
Bartholomew County has 2 new deaths bringing the number to 91. 5945 positives (71 new) and 33,242 tested (198 new)
Jennings County has 1819 positives (23 new) and 8867 tested (60 new)
Ripley County has 1 new death bringing the number to 44. 2769 positives (47 new) and 11,632 tested (82 new)
Franklin County 1346 positives (7 new) and 5367 tested (19 new)
Shelby County has 3786 positives (48 new) and 16,137 tested (89 new)
Rush County has 1373 positives (10 new) and 6725 tested (34 new)

To date, 2,738,914 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 2,724,389 on Friday. A total of 6,061,499 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26
