Subject: Franklin County Sheriff’s Department called to investigate second fatality traffic crash in four days.
In the afternoon hours of Friday October 25, 2024, Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a two-vehicle traffic crash in the 2000 block of South County Line Road in Batesville.
In an investigation conducted by Sergeant Adam Henson he found a gray 2016 Dodge pickup truck, being driven by Natalie Ann Rennekamp, age 36, was traveling south on County Line Road. Mrs. Rennekamp’s vehicle traveled left of the center of the roadway and struck a northbound 2005 International dump truck, which was driven by Joshua S. Baker, Age 43.
Mrs. Rennekamp, who was pregnant, suffered severe injury and was transported to Margaret Mary Hospital. Unfortunately, Mrs. Rennekamp and her unborn child were pronounced dead at the hospital. Mr. Baker was uninjured in the crash.
Assisting at the scene were the Greensburg Fire Department, Batesville EMS, and the Ripley County Coroner’s Office.
