Waltraud “Wally” Erika Hastings, 80, of Greensburg, passed away at 9:26 P.M. on
Monday, November 4, 2024 at Keepsake Village of Columbus. She was born on August
16, 1944 in Wiesloch, Germany the daughter of Aldof and Erika Anna (Pfeffer)
Fromm. She was born and raised in Germany and moved to the United States in 1959.
She was very proud of receiving her U.S. citizenship in 2000. She was a
member of the Euchre Club and the Spirit of Women. She loved her dogs, enjoyed
using her computer, playing cards, watching movies and international programs.
Wally married John Hastings on November 6, 1960 in Burney, Indiana. He preceded
her in death November 16, 2017. She is survived by her sons, Gene William (Gina)
Hastings and Brian William (Lori) Hastings both of Greensburg; four
grandchildren, Cody Hastings, Wade (Kaitlyn) Hastings, Cory (Emily) Hastings,
Austin (Allison) Hastings; two great granddaughters, Gemma and Paisley and two
great grandsons, Wilder and Bodie. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on
Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Pastor
Mike Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow at Westport Cemetery. A time of
visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7 from 12:00 P.M. until time of
service at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to
the Decatur County Animal Shelter, Disabled American Veterans or Our Hospice
