Decatur County Democratic Committee Press Release:
It is with gratitude and a heavy heart that I announce my resignation as Chairman of the Decatur County Democratic Committee, effective December 31, 2024.
Serving as your Chairman has been an incredible honor and privilege. Together, we’ve worked tirelessly to promote democratic values, support our candidates, and strengthen our community. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished and confident the committee will continue to thrive under new leadership. Together we have worked hard and created Giving Tuesday initiatives, grew our Facebook page, began having consistent monthly meetings, and held great events together. I am proud of the time I have had the honor to serve as the Chairman. I would like to say that I was lucky to follow great Chairpersons who fulfilled the role prior to my caucus.
During my time our committee has worked diligently to reduce the divide of the parties in Decatur County. I believe that Decatur County is a county that the two parties can co-exist and continue to build for the future.
To everyone who has supported our mission, volunteered, and believed in a better future for Decatur County—thank you. Your passion and dedication inspire me, and I will continue to support our shared vision in other capacities.
The committee will be working on a date for a caucus to be held to fulfill the Chair position. When more information is available, we will get that out to you.
Let’s make the remainder of 2024 count as we finish strong for our community!
