The driver of the vehicle was transported to an area hospital where she passed away as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
The initial investigation by Master Trooper Kyle Stovall, Indiana State Police-Versailles Post indicated that a silver 2002 Mercury passenger car, being driven by Darla S. Tabor, age 68, Hamilton, Ohio was traveling eastbound on I-74, approximately three miles east of Batesville, Indiana. For an unknown reason, Tabor lost control of the vehicle, which left the south side of the road and overturned.
