Danny Lee Martin, 77, of Westport, passed away at 12:55 A.M. on Wednesday,
September 3, 2025, at his residence. He was born on September 8, 1947, in
Greensburg, the son of Leon and Martha “Maxine” (Nugent) Martin. He lived in
Florida for 2 years and has been a resident of Westport ever since. He graduated
from Sandcreek High School in 1966 and was employed at Bohn Aluminum for 28
years. He was a member of Mt. Aerie Baptist Church. Danny enjoyed raising geese,
mules, calves and dogs. He married Linda Sue Weston in Greensburg on September
23, 1972, and she survives. Other survivors include his daughters, Kimberly Sue
(Bob) Best of Burney, Tammy (Dan McLaughlin) Martin of Redington Beach, Florida,
Marie (Steve) Bennett of Westport; his son, Scott (Lisa Smith) Martin of
Westport; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 2 nephews and 1 niece. He was
preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Leon Martin; granddaughter,
Angelica Warren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday,
September 6, 2025, at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Burial will follow
at Westport Cemetery. A time of visitation will be on Friday, September 5, from
5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be
