In the first meeting between the Chargers and the Eagles since 1990, the Chargers demonstrated how they were able to obtain the #1 position in Class 1A football with a drastically one-sided
contest and a 66-0 victory. The Chargers received the opening kickoff and marched down the field, finding the end zone on a 5- yard pass from Matthew Fields to Hunter Meister at the 9:52
minute mark in the first quarter. The Chargers would defend the Eagles opening gambit before Corbin Thackery returned the first punt of the game for a 75-yard touchdown at the 5:55 mark of the first quarter. The same scenario played out at the 4:24 mark of the
1st quarter. The Chargers would score once more in the first
quarter on a 31-yard scamper by Simon Barber. The second quarter would be more of the same with Barber, Thackery and Bryson Abplanalp all finding the end zone. With the score 57-0 at the half, the Chargers second half flew by, but not before the Chargers added another score from Hayden Koehne and a safety by Logan Foster. The Chargers had 308 yards of offense and gave up only 37 yards to the Eagles.
