From State Senator Jean Leising
As the school year winds down, it is time to start looking ahead to next year. Parents should know that the 2026-27 school year will be the first year Indiana is implementing the universal school choice voucher program, which provides funds toward private school tuition fees. This means all income caps have been removed and every student is eligible to apply.
Any parent who is interested in applying for a universal school voucher should contact their school and provide them with proof of residency like a driver’s license and documents confirming the number of dependents they have. The school will then fill out the application and submit it to the state for approval.
The school will notify the parents on whether they were approved.
Please contact your private schools for more details.
