November Teen Programs at the Greensburg Decatur County Public Library

The Greensburg Decatur County Public Library’s Teen Librarian is excited to announce four cozy programs in November!

Christmas Cards for Soldiers (Monday, November 10th @ 4 PM) – As we gather together with our families to celebrate the holidays this year, many families are missing loved ones who are serving our country overseas. It’s essential for us to remember, as we celebrate Christmas in the safety and comfort of our homes, the contributions and sacrifices our military personnel make on our behalf. Spread some holiday cheer and make a Christmas card for Troops who don’t have family support!

Outdoor Mindfulness: Grateful Gathering (Monday, November 17th @ 4 PM) – Take a stroll 🚶 through nature and play the “Five Senses Scavenger Hunt” to shift focus away from the stresses and worries in life. Once back inside, you’ll create a Grateful Jar to help you foster a more positive mindset, build resilience, and improve your mental health while you enjoy hot cocoa and cookies!

Turkey Treats (Monday, November 24th @ 4 PM) – Got Turkey’s? Make your own adorable (and delicious) turkey treats to enjoy with milk!

Art Therapy (Wednesday, November 26th @ 1 PM) – Patterns don’t always need to be complex designs. It’s easy to turn basic shapes and lines into great textures and patterns. Make a masterpiece using repeating simple shapes with different colors!
