Multiple injuries in downtown Greensburg from a Tuesday night accident

Patrons of Local Restaurant Injured in Vehicle Crash
Greensburg, IN – At approximately 6:23 P.M. on October 8th, 2024, the Decatur County
Communications Center received reports of a vehicle that had struck a building with multiple civilians
injured. Members of the Greensburg Police Department and other first responding agencies quickly
arrived at the scene. Upon arrival to the scene, it was observed that a grey Honda Passenger Car,
operated by driver Cleo Duncan, 83 of Greensburg, had struck the building of Carriage on The Square
Smokehouse. Carriage on The Square is located at the address of 117 N. Broadway Street in
Greensburg, IN and was an occupied establishment.
First responders found two people trapped under the vehicle and a member of the Greensburg Police
Department assisted a victim by applying a tourniquet. All victims were extricated by the Greensburg
Fire Department and transported to medical facilities for further treatment. At this time, seven patients
were seen by emergency services; 2 transported to the Decatur County Memorial Hospital and were
airlifted in critical condition to UC Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. Two were in stable condition and were
being evaluated at Decatur County Memorial Hospital, and three refused treatment.
The Indiana State Police Accident Reconstruction Team was called to assist with the investigation.
