A guilty plea has been entered in connection with a murder charge filed over 2-years ago

39-year old Adam Naderman was charged with murder in October of 2019 in connection with the death of his dad Albert Naderman. A guilty plea has been entered and a sentencing date has been set.

ORDER ON ENTRY OF GUILTY PLEA AND ORDER FOR SENTENCING HEARING 

The State of Indiana appears by Nathan W. Harter IV, Prosecuting Attorney. The  defendant appears in person and with counsel, Mark E. Jones. A change of plea hearing is held.  The Court now finds that the defendant desires to withdraw the defendant’s former plea(s) of not  guilty and enter a plea of guilty but mentally ill to the following charge(s): 

Count One: Murder, a felony 

The Court now finds that the defendant understands the nature of the charge(s) against  the defendant to which the defendant has pled guilty, that the defendant understands the  defendant’s constitutional rights in connection therewith and has freely and voluntarily waived  same, that the defendant’s plea is freely and voluntarily made, and that there is a factual basis for  the defendant’s plea of guilty. The Court takes the defendant’s plea(s) of guilty under  advisement. This matter is scheduled for a sentencing hearing on February 21, 2022 at 2:30  p.m., and the defendant is ordered to appear in Court on this date. 

The Decatur County Probation Department is directed to prepare a pre-sentence  investigation report and submit it to the Court and the parties no later than five days prior to the  sentencing hearing. The defendant shall immediately contact the Decatur County Probation  Department to schedule an appointment, and the defendant shall cooperate in the preparation of  the pre-sentence investigation report.
