Arrest involved allegations which included possession of methamphetamine and escape

On December 5, 2024, Seth S. Foerster of Greensburg, Indiana cut off and removed his
ankle monitor, which he was required to wear per a home detention court order.
Foerster’s pending charges involve allegations of:
 Possession of Methamphetamine as Level 5 Felony, and Habitual Offender
 Possession of Methamphetamine as a Level 6 Felony
 Unlawful Possession of a Syringe as a Level 6 Felon
 Resisting Law Enforcement as a Class A Misdemeanor, and
 Possession of Marijuana as a Class A Misdemeanor
Upon Foerster removing his ankle monitor, an additional charge of Escape as a Level 6
Felony was filed and an arrest warrant was issued.
With the help of the U. S. Marshals/IMPD Fugitive Task Force, Foerster was located on
the morning of December 10, 2024 at a residence in the 100 block of W. Forsythe St. in
Greensburg. Foerster was arrested and transported to the Decatur County Detention
Center without incident. The 100 block of W. Forsythe was blocked off by Decatur
County Sheriff’s deputies while the arrest warrant was being executed.
The Decatur County Sheriff’s Department would like to extend our appreciation to the
following agencies for their assistance in capturing Foerster in a safe manner where no
was harmed:
 U. S. Marshals Service
 Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department
 Greensburg Police Department
 Decatur County Court Services, and
 Decatur County Communications
Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed to be innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
