The meeting began with the approval of the August 1, 2024, meeting minutes.
Zach Wirrig, Director of Public Projects provided an update on the Iron Men Apartment Complex by stating that they are still discussing the four-story apartment complex option and are working through their Economic Development Agreement. He provided an update on Liberty Lakes by saying that they are moving forward quickly and today they installed 2200 feet of curbing. Zach said that they have submitted their secondary platt for review. He updated the commissioners by stating that he continues to market the other properties owned and has seen some interest.
Zach presented an estimate from Schutte Excavating for parcel grading on the 4.5-acre tract that is adjacent to the Liberty Lakes property. Schutte is the contractor on that project and noticed that next to the land slopes a bit in one spot and provided a quote to seed, straw, and grade the entire parcel to make it more marketable and mostly shovel ready for a total of $37,226.75. The commission approved this estimate.
