The meeting began at 7 pm. The first item of business was the commission approving the 2024 meeting minutes.
Zach Wirrig, Director of Public Projects provided an update on the Iron Men Apartment Complex stating that they are currently seeking tax credits and working with the city on developing an Economic Development Agreement. Zach stated that Liberty Lakes is moving along with the pavement being laid for approximately half of the drive and that the first home is planned to have trusses added tomorrow 12/6/24. Zach had no new updates for the Property Marketing.
Zach then asked the RDC if they would commit to providing funding in the future for infrastructure projects in the Tif area. At this time, he was not asking for specific funding or approval for any specific project. This was mostly just to gauge the support the commission would have and overall, all were receptive and welcomed Zach to come back in the future with specific projects and funding requests.
The commission approved the December 2024 regular claims in the amount of $3,221.99.

Dr. Weigel ended the meeting with announcing that this would be his last meeting as a member of the Redevelopment Commission because he is resigning. He stated that he has spent over 15 years on the commission and feels that it is time that someone else have the opportunity to serve on the commission. He thanked former Mayors Dan Manus and Gary Herbert and current Mayor Josh Marsh for having him as part of the commission. He thanked the members of the RDC.
Mayor Josh Marsh stood to thank Dr. Weigel for his dedication and service to the community as a whole and specifically for the time on the Redevelopment Commission.
