The Decatur County Area Plan Commission met on Wednesday.
Adam Smith requested to subdivide approx. 25 acres out of 54.087 acres and rezone approx. 2.99 acres out of the 25 acres from an A-1 to an A-2 zoning classification for the construction of a single-family detached dwelling. They plan to place the house near the top of the woods. The property is owned by Adam, Kevin and Joshua Smith in Westport, Clay Township. Petition 2023-10 was approved.
Barry & Jill Moorman requested to subdivide approx. 8.25 acres out of 15.505 acres and rezone approx. 1.5 acres out of the 8.25 acres from an A-1 to an A-2 zoning classification for construction of a single-family detached dwelling. They plan to sell their current home to their son and build their new home on this piece of property. The property is owned by the petitioners in Greensburg, Fugit Township. Petition 2023-11 was approved.
