The Decatur County Community Schools Board of Education met on Monday.
The board approved the payment of claims and payroll. The resignations of Nick Flowers- Director of Special Education, Angie Parmer- South Decatur, and Dawn Schwering- North Decatur were approved. The appointments of Jason Holland- Director of Special Ed, Stewart Durham- SD High School Assistant Principal, Amy Bryant-North Decatur, Payten Ewing-South Decatur, Zach Manson-South Decatur, Lynn Bryan-North Decatur, Veyona Shephard- North Decatur, Meagan Benz- North Decatur, and Nancy Mankin- North Decatur were approved.
The second reading of the Neola Policy was approved.
The board approved the reentry school plan. The highlights of this plan include: masks must be worn on buses- morning/night/athletics/field trips, masks are optional during the day at school, contact tracing and quarantine still exist, and vaccinated individuals do not have to quarantined if traced during contact tracing.
