The Decatur County Memorial Hospital Board met on Thursday.
There was a financial report given to the board. For the month of May the hospital had a positive 15.5% increase in the emergency room and surgeries were on track for the budget. They were 30.7% below the budget target for inpatient numbers and they were favorable by .5% on expenses. This was approved.
Rex McKinney gave a CEO update. They thanked everyone who attended the groundbreaking earlier in the day for the new rehab center and are proud they are able to make this expansion happen. Saturday is the annual drive thru healthy fair from 8-12. July 4 is the community fireworks show for Independence Day.
The board approved a contract with Dr. Ahmad. There were no capital requests.
All appointments to medical staff were approved. All 1 year provisionals met were approved. All resignations from the medical staff were approved.
