Greensburg, Ind. — The Governing Board of Decatur County Memorial Hospital (DCMH) met for its regular session on Thursday evening, Dec. 18, 2025, in Conference Room D, with Chairperson Larry Rueff presiding.
The meeting opened at approximately 7 p.m. with approval of the Consent Agenda, including the minutes from the Nov. 20, 2025 meeting. Board members also reviewed financial reports for November 2025, covering cash balances, investment performance, and recent capital asset purchases.
During the Regular Agenda, the Board received a comprehensive financial report.
New business included a review of capital requests and discussion of proposed Board committee assignments for 2026. The Board also recognized two outgoing trustees, Mollie Fry and Dr. Nicole Boersma, for their leadership and service to Decatur County Memorial Hospital. Both were thanked for their dedication and contributions during their tenure on the Board of Trustees.
In additional action, the Board reviewed the hospital’s Performance Improvement Plan, approved goals for the Chief Executive Officer, and received an operational and strategic update from President and CEO Rex McKinney. McKinney highlighted recent community engagement efforts, including strong participation in Holiday Lane, the hospital’s annual campus event, which drew more than 700 attendees.
McKinney also noted the hospital’s continued commitment to community involvement throughout the year, with staff volunteering more than 3,000 hours, hosting a Men’s Tailgate screening event, and promoting healthcare careers at local high schools.
The meeting concluded with final comments and announcements. The Board confirmed its next regular meeting will be held Jan. 29, 2026, before formally adjourning.
