Greensburg, IN – May 20, 2025, Decatur County Memorial Hospital (DCMH) is proud to announce the promotion
of Matt Myers to EMS Manager, marking a new chapter in a long-standing and valued relationship. His recent
transition into this leadership role underscores his deep dedication to the Hospital and community.
Matt began his EMS journey in 2003 as an EMT, earning his paramedic certification by 2006. Over the years,
he has built an impressive career that includes experience as a phlebotomist, an ER technician, and a paramedic.
He also spent six years flying with LifeLine as a critical care paramedic and later served as a supervisor. Most
recently, he worked as a paramedic on an offshore oil platform.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to take on this leadership role,” said Myers. “It’s an exciting time for our
department. I look forward to strengthening our partnerships with local fire departments—city, county, and
volunteer—as well as law enforcement at all levels and neighboring EMS teams. Together, we can support our
staff, coordinate more seamlessly, and continue delivering excellent care to the people of Decatur County.
Myers is particularly passionate about mentoring newer staff and fostering strong relationships across
departments and organizations. He believes in maintaining and elevating the standards of care while learning
from the experience of the seasoned professionals around him.
A longtime resident of Indiana, Matt lives close to Decatur County with his wife. They enjoy camping, traveling,
taking cruises, and outdoor adventures.
“Matt’s deep roots in this community, combined with his wide-ranging EMS experience, make him a natural fit
for this leadership role,” said Kristol Hadler, Director of Outpatient Services. “He brings a calm, collaborative
presence to situations, and I’m excited to support his continued growth as we strengthen our EMS partnerships
across the county. His passion for serving others truly reflects the heart of DCMH.”
