Decatur County Sheriffs Department

The Decatur County Sheriffs Department was in on Thursday morning for their monthly update. Deputy Chris Hellmich is working his last shift before retirement on March 19th, congratulations! The Crisis Intervention Team has grown with a 4th person being added to the team, overall the success of CIT has been outstanding. This summer the start of a 3 year project on I-74 will kick off, everyone is reminded to slow down and obey traffic laws, there will be cameras throughout that will capture those going 11pmh or greater over the speed limit.
