Addressing the Needs of Senate District 42

From Senator Jean Leising:

This summer, my attention will be on interim study committees and the fiscal questions that will shape next year’s budget session.

Throughout the summer, interim committees will examine several areas to support constituents. These include agriculture, childcare funding, workforce programs, tax incentives, property tax assessment alternatives, transportation funding and court-related costs.

These conversations will help ensure Indiana passes yet another balanced two-year budget, which impacts everything from workforce programs to schools and local governments.

As policymakers and state agencies prepare for next year’s budget session, input from residents of Senate District 42 will be critical in ensuring the Indiana General Assembly passes legislation that reflects the needs of Indiana. With this in mind, I encourage residents to reach out to my office with questions, comments and concerns using the “Contact Me” form.
