Greensburg Board of Aviation Commissioners

The Greensburg Board of Aviation Commissioners met on Thursday.

There was a financial report given to the board. The total for all 3 accounts is $740,773.99.

Don Tribbett gave an update on land acquisition. They have closed on the Hastings litigation and the documents have been filed with the Decatur County recorder’s office. The Lowe property has signed an avigation easement.

Paul Shaffer with BF&S gave an update. 3 weeks ago they had another grade survey that showed some areas are still not up to final project grade. They have chosen to not stop for the winter in order to work on getting these grades up to standard. They must achieve final project grades before weather stops them or the arrival of April 1. If they fail to do so, they will be resolved with a new contractor as they are far past their contract completion date. Dave O’Mara plans to start their portion of work on April 1 and complete tree trimming before then. The CIP was approved. The pre application for $2,308,251.51 for land application was approved.

Airport Manager Jerry Scheidler gave an update on the airport. All hangars are full and they’ve sold a lot of fuel recently. The mower is on order.

The board approved the payment of bills.
