Greensburg City Council

Greensburg City Council met on Tuesday.

Clerk Treasurer Amy Borns presented serval ordinances. Ordinance 2022-20 Greensburg Community School Corporation Budget 2023 was approved. Ordinance 2022-21 City of Greensburg 2023 Budget was approved. Ordinance 2022-22 for 2023 Elected Officials Salary was approved with an amendment to add $500 to the City Council Salary. Ordinance 2022-23 for City Employees Salaries was approved. Ordinance 2022-24 for Utilities Salaries was approved.

Ordinance 2022-26 for the update and expansion of city council was presented on its second reading. The ordinance was amended to include language that delays the seats being filled until the general election can fill them. This was approved as amended.

Richard Starkey with Barnes and Thornburg came to the board pressing several items for the new fire station and street department campus. Resolution 2022-06 accepting Lease Petitions, Reimbursement of Proceeds, and Appraisers was approved. There was a Public Hearing for Preliminary Determination to Issue Bonds with no public comment. Resolution 2022-07 approving the Preliminary Determination to issue Bonds was approved.

There was a Public Hearing for Leases with no public comment. Resolution 2022-08 approving the execution of the Leases and Need for the Projects was approved.

Ordinance 2022-25 for additional appropriation was approved.

The Final Public Safety Community Cookout will be on October 20, from 6:00-8:00 pm on Ryle Addition. The Chili will be provided by the chili cook off winners: C Shift from the Fire station and the administration and investigation department from the police station.

The Pirate Park Ribbon Cutting will be on October 19, at 10:00 am.
