Greensburg Community High School senior, Brenley Jameson, is the July Optimist Youth
of the Month. Brenley is the daughter of Kelly Wampler and Jim Jameson. Brenley is at
the top of her class with a 4.0 GPA after 6 semesters here at GCHS. Brenley’s transcript
reads of four years of honors and dual credit classes, but also of culinary and aquatics
as she completes her Indiana College Core and Academic and Technical Honors
diploma.
Brenley has fully embraced opportunities to lead and serve both at Greensburg
Community High School and in the wider community. Her dedication is evident through
her active involvement in numerous extracurriculars. She served as Project Manager for
the North Park Project, Student Director for All for One Ministry, and Vice President of
Champions Together. As a student leader for FCA and a four-year member of the GCHS
Swim Team and the Decatur County Tiger Sharks, Brenley consistently demonstrated
teamwork and commitment. Her leadership extended to being a participant in Hoosier
Girls State and Indiana Youth and Government, as well as serving as President of the
Mayor’s Youth Council and New Directions Teen Council. In addition, she is a proud
member of the National Honor Society, the GCS Superintendent’s Council, and the
GCHS Junior Optimist Club. Brenley’s well-rounded involvement and leadership make
her a true standout in both school and community life.
Brenley also volunteers annually with the Wreaths Across America, Kids Closet, Bread of
Life Soup Kitchen, New Directions Wine & Roses, Children’s Ministry at The Rock Bible
Church, and Polar Plunge with Champions Together. In her spare time you can find
Brenley working as a swim instructor and coach, managing Fuzztops Backyard Smoke
Shack, or as the lead baker and designer for Cookie Gangsta.
Brenley exemplifies authentic leadership, inspiring others through her courageous
actions, unwavering dedication, and consistent lead-by-example approach.
There are many stanzas of the Optimist Creed that are reflected daily in Brenley’s life
but especially:
❖ To be SO STRONG that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
❖ To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy
to permit the presence of trouble.

Congratulations Brenley!
