Greensburg Redevelopment Commission

The Greensburg Redevelopment Commission met on Thursday.

City engineer Ron May gave an update to the board on the Veterans Way phase 2 project status. They had been moving along nicely until they found a Duke Energy facility that had not been reported and a Frontier line that has not been moved. The line has been approved to be moved a year ago, however no one has come out to do it. Duke Energy is aware of the situation and working on a game plan. The portion of road West of the old Tractor Supply Co. is 95% completed. There was an update on the Indiana Department of Health Preparation of a Community-wide Bicycle and pedestrian master plan. They had a public meeting opportunity on Monday that the consultant reports had decent attendance. They are currently asking for the public opinion at this point. The community can find a survey on the city of Greensburg website. There was an update given on the Veterans Way Residential Project. They are currently working on an agreement for developers. There is a statutory process that they need to follow.

There was an update on the appraisals for the Veterans Way Residential property. The board approved the authorization of the Mayor to enter an agreement to not exceed $7,000 for appraisals.

The claims were approved.
