Greensburg Water Board

The Greensburg Water Board met on Tuesday.

Rick Denny presented the tower inspection options. Last month the they discussed getting a tower inspected, upon further research they have found it’s time for all 3 towers to be inspected. Dickinson Engineering has both proposals written up- one for a ROV inspection that would cost $3,000 a tower and another for a drain inspection that would cost $4,000 a tower. Denny believes the drain inspection would be far more beneficial. The drain inspection was approved for up to $12,000.

Darren Burkhart gave an HNTB update on the new Surface Water Treatment Plant. The last month had been mainly focused on areas 10 and 11. The masons came in this week and the storm piping was in last month. They have tentatively chosen the first week of August for asphalt- this is weather dependent. They are moving along nicely.

Rick Denny presented the Monthly Report Operations. This is a report they must submit to IDEM every month. The report showed that the water quality and consistency is far better in June 2021 than it was in June 2020.
