In-person absentee voting underway at the Decatur County Courthouse

From the Decatur County Clerk’s Office –

Absentee voting IN PERSON is underway with the last day set for Monday, November 7th at 12:00 Noon. The daily location will be at the Decatur County Courthouse, 150 Courthouse Square, 1st floor early voting office, Greensburg, IN 47240 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. There will be two Saturday locations open from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on October 29th and November 5th. Those locations will be announced later.

VOTING BY MAIL and TRAVELING BOARD

The Decatur County Clerk’s Office is now accepting Absentee Applications to VOTE BY MAIL AND BY
TRAVELING BOARD for the General Election November 8, 2022.
A VOTER that wish to use this service must request an absentee application by one of the following methods:
• log on to the Decatur County Website at www.decaturcounty.in.gov
• log on to the Indiana State Website www.indianavoters.com to download the form and mail it to the
Clerk’s Office.
• Email the Clerk’s Office directly at absentee@decaturcounty.in.gov
• Call the Clerk’s Office at 812-663-8223 (Option: 5) from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM to have a form mailed to
you.
They will NOT send these absentee applications out automatically they will need to be
requested at each election cycle. Absentee applications will be mailed after a request was
made. These applications will need to be returned back to the Clerk’s Office so they can place
you on their mailing listing for ballots.

TRAVELING BOARD

The first day for traveling board is Thursday, October 20, 2022. The Clerk’s Office
will be in contact when they will be arriving at your homes.

CANDIDATE REPORTING

Candidate’s campaign finance reports are due in the Decatur County Clerk’s Office
by Friday, October 21st at 12:00 Noon. The reporting period is from April 9, 2022
to October 14, 2022. All candidates that run for an office that makes over
$5000.00 per year MUST file the required campaign finance report CFA-4. The
State of Indiana specifically has due date regarding these reports. Late or
defective (completed incorrectly) reports are subject to penalties per State Law.
