GREENSBURG, Ind. – The City of Greensburg and The Stellar Team are preparing to welcome
approximately 300 visitors to downtown Greensburg on Saturday, September 26, as the Ohio Rail
Experience returns to the community for another year as part of its “Return to the Big Four” excursion.
The excursion will take passengers on a scenic journey from Cincinnati to Greensburg along the historic
route of the former Big Four Railroad. The train is expected to arrive in Greensburg around noon, where
passengers will have approximately three hours to explore the community before departing around 3
p.m.
During the stop, visitors will have an opportunity to experience downtown Greensburg, see the famous
Tower Tree and shop and dine at local businesses. The Stellar Team will have welcome stations set up
around the downtown square to greet passengers, provide directions and answer questions.
Community members are also encouraged to welcome visitors to Greensburg. For local railroad
enthusiasts, the stop provides an opportunity to see the passenger train while it is in town.
Residents and motorists should be aware that the stopped train is expected to temporarily impact
railroad crossings at East, Franklin and Broadway streets during the layover. Drivers should plan
accordingly and use alternate routes as needed.
The Stellar Team, a partnership between the City of Greensburg, Visit Greensburg, Main Street
Greensburg, GDC Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Corporation of Decatur County,
Decatur County Parks & Recreation, and Decatur County Community Foundation, look forward to
welcoming Ohio Rail Experience passengers to the Tree City and showcasing all that downtown
Greensburg has to offer.
