Pirate Park Ribbon Cutting

The City of Greenburg held a ribbon cutting for Pirate Park this week. This was one of the first Stellar Projects named when the list was being formed and one of the first finished. In attendance was Greensburg Mayor Joshua Marsh, former Greensburg Mayor Dan Manus whom the project started with, Miss Harmon’s 2019 fourth grade class who came up with the initial project designs, Tourism Director Philip Deiwert, Redevelopment Commissioner and City Councilman Darrel Poling, Greensburg Community School Corporation Superintendent Tom Hunter, Chris Hamm HWC Engineering, and Indiana Destination Development Corporation CEO Elaine Bedel.

While this project is in Greensburg and named “Pirate Park”, this is a regional project including communities around Rushville and Batesville. Their shared goal is to enhance our rural communities.
