The Greensburg JH XC team traveled to Waldron Tuesday evening, for an invitational against 12 other schools. Both teams finished 6th overall.
In the girls’ race, Maria Scholle ran with the lead pack and brought home the individual championship with a time of 11:35. She was followed by Hadley Davis, who ran a new PR of 12:22 for an individual 6th place finish. Next was Ava Doig in 47th with a PR of 15:07 and Hayden Saylor in 55th with 15:39. Violet Macku turned in a big PR of 16:36 to round out the Pirates scoring 5 with 75th place. Also for the Pirates, were Sarita Walker in a 17:29 PR, Noelle Kern in 17:32, and Isabelle Macku in 17:37.
In the boys’ race, 6th grader Elliot O’Sullivan led the Pirates with a top-25 finish. He ran a PR 12:22 to take 24th place. Next was Kason Bedel in 33rd place with 12:41 and Miles Gill in 39th with a PR time of 13:02. Rounding out the Pirates scoring 5 were Luke Harris in 48th with 13:36 and Liam Hernandez with 51st in 13:47. He was followed by Easton Character in 52nd with 13:49. Also for the Pirates were Konnor Luers in 15:49, Collin Rich in 16:20, Samuel Black in 17:10, Preston Meadows in a 17:48 PR, and Rylan Herpel in a 20:07 PR.
The Pirates race again Thursday at home against North Decatur.
