Greensburg, IN – September 18, 2026 – The Hospital Foundation of Decatur County (Hospital Foundation) hosted its annual Tee Off ‘Fore’ Ta-Tas event, raising $34,358 for the Pink Ribbon Fund. The fund helps qualifying individuals access mammograms and breast diagnostic services at Decatur County Memorial Hospital (DCMH) when cost may otherwise be a barrier to care.
Tee Off ‘Fore’ Ta-Tas brings the community together for an evening of fun, breast health awareness, and support for those affected by breast cancer. This year’s event welcomed 45 teams, representing 180 participants, who competed in lighthearted games throughout the evening, with creative team names and costumes adding to the fun. No golf skills are required, but friendly competition is encouraged through the Course Games Award and People’s Choice Award.
Before teams headed out on the course, Jessica Hunter, Lead Mammography Technologist at DCMH, borrowed the microphone to share an important message about the value of regular screening mammograms and how easy it is to schedule one.
Hunter asked attendees to pull out their phones as she walked them through the scheduling process.
“Screening mammograms are incredibly important because they can find breast cancer early, before there are signs or symptoms,” said Hunter. “You can self-schedule through your DCMH Patient Portal whenever it’s convenient or call us at 812-663-1157. When it’s easy to make the appointment, there’s one less reason to put it off. Come see us!”
Willows of Greensburg captured the People’s Choice Award for its creative team presentation and costume. South Decatur Elementary School – Fields Heating and Cooling took home the Course Games Award for the highest overall score, while two Noles Family Dental teams placed second and third.
Participants also enjoyed food provided by DCMH Dietary and Aspen Place Health Campus and had the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for more than 30 prizes valued between $100 and $450. Raffle proceeds also benefited the Pink Ribbon Fund.
“Tee Off ‘Fore’ Ta-Tas continues to show what’s possible when our community comes together,” said Mandy Lohrum, Hospital Foundation Director. “Raising more than $34,000 in one evening is incredible, but what matters most is what those dollars make possible for people in our community. The continued growth of this event has us excited about how we can make an even greater impact next year.”

The momentum will continue throughout September and October with Pink Out games at local school sporting events and dine-in nights at area restaurants, where a portion of proceeds will benefit the Pink Ribbon Fund.
