On Friday February 13th, The America 250: Hearts of Freedom – The Honor Dance- will be held at the Community Building at the Decatur County Fairgrounds. This event, the maiden voyage for the new Event Center/Community Building, is part of the 250th Celebration of America. The Dance will be the culmination of 2 days of Nashville Songwriters sharing time with local Veterans and hearing their stories, then taking their talents to pen, paper and music and debuting songs written for them. On the evening of February 12th, the Songwriters will perform these original songs at an evening concert at 6pm at the Community Building. Tickets are available to this event. The February 13th Honor Dance will begin at 7:00pm and a concert by local favorite Nuttin’ Fancy Band will make it a perfect Valentine’s outing! Doors open at 6:45pm.
Tickets are available at the Decatur County Community Foundation, at the door the evening of the events, or by calling 812-549-5252.
Funding for this event provided in part by the Ella Jo Briggs Fund at DCCF. All net proceeds from this event will benefit local Veterans.
The Community Building at the Decatur County Fairgrounds is located at 1635 W. Park Road in Greensburg.
